About

Yoga is not a linear journey towards perfection; it is a continuous practice of attention.

Yoga Foundation classes are ideal for beginners, because they are focused on two simple pillars: breathing awareness, and mindful movement. The principle of Ahimsa, often translated as ‘non-harm’ or ‘kindness’, is at the core of this practice. It means meeting yourself where you are at, working within the range of your own body, according to your energy levels, and most importantly,

in harmony with your breath.

Hatha Yoga

Gentle class, beginner friendly - 60 minutes - $20

Fridays 9.30am - Pottsville Beach Community Hall

Hatha Yoga is a slow practice that allows you to take your time to settle into the pose, and then bring awareness to your breathing pattern once you are there. Some postures cultivate strength, while others focus on flexibility, and all classes include a mix of both. The use of props facilitates correct alignment, allowing the breath to flow freely, thus creating the physical and mental benefits yoga is known for. This style of yoga includes postures, breathwork and a brief meditation. All ages and levels are welcome!

This is a small class (10 people max.) -bookings are essential.

Yoga for Seniors

Supported by chairs and other props - 45 minutes - $15

Fridays 11.00am - Pottsville Beach Community Hall

These sessions are also popularly known as “Chair Yoga”. The practice is based on the same principles of Hatha Yoga -slow movement and breath awareness- just offering further modifications to better support alignment. Although we are using chairs, the class still aims at cultivating strength and flexibility, along with breathwork and meditation. If you are not a senior but you are experiencing a limited range of movement, this class may be suitable for you.

Yoga beyond asana.

Asana means '“posture”, and this physical practice is the best known aspect of yoga in Western culture, perhaps followed by pranayama (breathwork) and meditation. If you are curious about the less known aspects of yoga, such as its history, philosophy and metaphysics, feel free to explore my blog. I am a teacher, but I’m also a very curious student, and I use this space to reflect on what I learn in my path.

Hi, I’m Tatiana.

I’m from Venezuela, and I have been living in the Northern Rivers with my beautiful family since 2022. I have practiced yoga “on and off” for two decades, but last year I decided to take a 200-hour teacher training as part of a personal healing journey. For the first time I went beyond the asana practice, and this experience was transformational enough to prompt me into extending my education to another 350-hour training, which I am about to start in January 2026.

I am passionate about bringing awareness to the powerful body-mind connection, a reality that we somehow have become so disassociated from. As I continue my yoga teaching path, I’m also preparing to become a professional counsellor and transpersonal therapist, so I can support others in developing their own well-being and personal growth.

I’m looking forward to holding the space for you to cultivate your own yoga practice.

I’d love to chat.

Yoga is an ancient practice originated in India thousands of years ago. One of its pillars is the principle of Ahimsa, translated as ‘non-harm’ or ‘kindness’. In this spirit, I warmly welcome individuals from all walks of life, regardless of ethniticity, faith, sexual orientation or gender identity. I respect your lived experience and believe in your valuable contributions as an individual.
