How my journey began

Originally a textile designer and a writer, I jumped in at the deep end when I left Venezuela twenty years ago. My experiences inspired me to start a degree in Peace Studies at UNE, where I have been exploring different aspects of social and environmental justice.

From the lens of my lived experience as a migrant in several countries, I am particularly interested in the subjects of womanhood, nature, culture, the sense of belonging, and how these factors interplay when it comes to women’s ability to connect with each other, and heal themselves, others, the environment and the community.

I aim to incorporate this quest in my continued work as a textile designer, writer and yoga practitioner from my home studio in NSW.

Changing attitudes towards the feminine, one gesture at a time.
